Message from the Chair
 Welcome
to the University of South Florida, to its College of Engineering and to our
Department of Industrial and Management Systems (IMSE). It is an exciting time
at USF and in the Tampa Bay area. As a young institution USF has grown rapidly.
We have surpassed $200 million in research, recruited a significant number of
talented faculty and enhanced the student environment.
IMSE has
the following programs: Bachelor of Science in Industrial
Engineering, Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, Master
of Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering Management and
an extensive Ph.D. program.
We have
established a student advisory team to ensure that we hear the
voices of the students when making our decisions and taking
action. Our advisory board members represent the diversity of
our competencies, from academe to service.
IMSE has a
cohesive team that is very student oriented. This makes our
environment very amiable to students, both undergraduates and
graduates. At IMSE we want to make sure that engineering
education is a parallel for excitement, enthusiasm and
innovation.
