- Congratulations to Dr. Vishnuteja Nanduri for the USF 2008-09 Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Graduate School at USF.

- Dr. Jose Zayas-Castro has won the INFORMS Moving Spirit Award for all of his support to the INFORMS@USF student chapter.
- Dr. José Zayas-Castro received the 2009 ASEE John L. Imhoff Global Excellence Award for Industrial Eng. Education
- Dr. Ali Yalcin received a faculty fellowship from the National Academy of Sciences, in 2009
- Dr. Grisselle Centeno has been awarded a competitive WIRES travel fellowship to be held in Barcelona, Spain in the month of June, 2009
- Dr. Paul Schnitzler was selected as an Eminent Engineer by the USF Chapter of the national engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi, in 2007.
Students
- Wilkistar Otieno has won the INFORMS Judith Liebman Award for her invaluable contribution to the chapter
- Patricio Rocha is appointed as Co-Editor of OR/MS Tomorrow
- Athina Brintaki was selected as one of the 2008 College of Engineering Research Week Poster Award recipient.
- Vishnu Nanduri received the following awards:
- Best Paper Award in the Energy Sponsored Sessions of INFORMS, presented in the 2008 INFORMS Annual Meeting at Washington D.C.
- Judith Liebman Moving Spirit Award for outstanding contributions to the INFORMS Student Chapter at USF, presented in the 2008 INFORMS Annual Meeting at Washington D.C.
- Dayna Martinez received the following fellowships:
- STARS Fellowship recipient, Fall 2008
- NSF Louis Strokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Fellowship recipient, Fall 2006-Spring 2008
- Wilkistar Otieno received the 2008 Graduate Scholarship Award of the Phi Kappa Phi Professional Honor Society
