Ph.D.: Admission Procedures
To
be accepted into the IMSE Department, prospective PhD applicants are judged on
performance in their educational background, usually this means: an earned
masters degree, GRE score, TOEFL score (for foreign students). We also put great
emphasis on the applicant’s statement of purpose with research goals, and
letters of recommendation. Applicants should include any research experiences to
which they have been exposed. Students who have demonstrated research potential
and outstanding performance in their undergraduate program may be considered for
admittance directly into the PhD program. Table 1
