To
be accepted into the IMSE Department, prospective students are
judged on performance in the following areas: (1) undergraduate
program, (2) GRE scores (verbal and quantitative), (3) TOEFL
score (for foreign students), (4) statement of purpose, which
should include program areas of interest, and (5) three letters
of recommendations. See Table 1 for specific requirements.
Prospective students with non-engineering BS degrees are welcome
to apply, but may be required to take supplemental undergraduate
courses. This is determined on a case-by-case basis.
