1. MSEM required coursework (18 credits)

 

General Core Area (15 credit hours)

EIN 5322 Principal of Engineering Management

EIN 6386 Management of Technology Change

EIN 5350 Technology and Finance

EIN 6323 Engineering Management Policy & Strategies (Capstone)

 

Quantitative Core Area (3 credit hours)

 

Job Design Core Area (3 credits)

 

2. Electrical Option Core Sequences (6 credit hours)

 

Course sequence with the second course requiring a graduate course prerequisite. Particular sequences from existing option tracks within the MSEE program.

 

3. Electrical engineering Electives (6 credit hours)

 

Electives must be EE 6000 level courses.

 

4. MSEM Electives (3 credit hours)

 

Course to be selected from current electives.

 

Note: An undergraduate statistics course is a prerequisite. If you have not taken an undergraduate statistics course, you must take ESI 5219 Statistics methods for Engineering Managers

Total hours for the degree is 33 semester hours. The comprehensive exam will consist of two hours of Electrical Engineering test, and six-hour MSEM exam that will total eight hours.
