Khator Inducted as Fellow IIE

Dr. Suresh Khator, Professor of IMSE and Director of Engineering Computing has been recently inducted as a Fellow of Institute of Industrial Engineers, the highest recognition in the field of Industrial Engineering. The ceremony was held at the IIE Annual Conference at Houston.  Dr. Khator received his Ph. D degree from Purdue University, he has been in the department of IMSE at USF since 1989.

Ganesan Receives Graduate Research Award

Mr. Rajesh Ganesan, received the Institute of Industrial Engineer (IIE) Graduate Research award (First Place) for his Master's thesis titled 'Wavelet Based Multiresolution Monitoring of a Nanomachining Process in Semiconductor Manufacturing'. This award was presented on May 17, 2004 in IIE's Annual Conference in Houston. He is a Ph. D candidate in the department of IMSE.

Graduates Present at INFORMS

IMSE graduate students from various research fields presented their work at the recently concluded Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) Annual meeting held at Denver, Colorado between October 24th and 27th. Some of the students that made presentations are Aldo Fabregas, J.J. Bates, Vuslat Nazilli, Bharath Natarajan, Baskar Mohan, Vishnuteja Nanduri and Balaji Rajan.
